For those who design commercial websites, it is worth noting that the more
medical science improves, the more people are surviving accidents, heart
attacks and other early killers and living to an advanced age. More and more
elderly people will be using computers -- and relying on them for shopping!
These elderly people may have an assortment of impairments such as arthritic
hands, failing  eyesight or limited hearing. Also, their memory is often
less agile than it once was, so a simplified, consistent navigation system
is very helpful - dont make them learn needless new stuff.
