code conformance requirementsby Emma Jane Hogbin <emmajane(at)xtrinsic.com> |

Hey all: We're looking at putting some required standards in to place at work. The following have been thrown around. Ideally we need to have "code" examples for all the specs. - 508 Compliant (we're actually Canadian, but want to be one step ahead of the game) - The law: http://www.usdoj.gov/crt/508/508law.html - Checklist: http://www.webaim.org/handbooks/developers/appendices/c/ - Validation: http://www.cast.org/bobby/ - Priority Level 1 Accessible - Checklist: http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10/full-checklist.html - Sample: http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10-HTML-TECHS/ (problem: HTML here is NOT XHTML compliant, does anyone have a better example?) - Validation: http://www.cast.org/bobby/ - CSS Level 1 (and/or Level 2?) - Specification Level One: http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS1 - Specification Level Two: http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-CSS2 - Validation: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ - XHTML 1.0 Transitional - Specification: http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/ - DTD: http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd - Sample: ? - Validation: http://validator.w3.org/ Would you recommend any other things that we ought to comply to? Are there better URLs than the ones I've picked? Is anything of what I've listed a mutually-exclusive deal? (e.g. the "code" sample for Priority Level 1 won't validate as XHTML because it has caps... at least I think that's a correct interpretation). Thanks!! emma
