I'm somewhat confused here... depending on which browser I use, I get
different content.
>From
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=www.amazon.com%2Faccess&charset=%28detect+
automatically%29&doctype=Inline
I get: URI: http://www.amazon.com/access I was redirected to
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/dt/upda-1.0-i/subst/aa/upda/home.html/104-
2032681-4216700 (which does not validate to published formal grammers
Priority 2 3.2)
In IE I get:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/subst/home/home.html/104-5934951-8107931
which again does not validate (not even a DTD!)
Lynx returns a basic navigation menu and search function, with no other
content.
Using IBM HPR I get:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/dt/upda-1.0-i/subst/aa/upda/home.html/104-
5934951-8107931 , esentially the same as above but with the addition of two
extra links - Home and Account
Now I may be way off base here, but is offering less content to users of
alternative technologies making a site more accessible? What about all of
the other rich content on the "regular" Amazon page, like the ability to
sign in and get personalized recommendations, or the ability to plan my next
getaway and get "huge airfare savings--". Do the blind or users of browsers
such as lynx not travel or want personlized recommendations?
It smacks of "All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than
others"

-7/ref=sr_8_7/104-5934951-8107931?s=books&n=507846 (try opening that in
HPR!)
