First off - is there anyone still left on this list? :)

If so - I'd be interested in hearing comments as to Flash and accessibility.
Have started a discussion on another list and my research has shown a number
of issues (main one possibly being Flash & MSAA - Windows platform only) A
Flash designer is stating that there aren't any issues that don't have work
arounds (although Macromedia does point out accessibility problems). It's
just a point of discussion on a women's IT list (I do love a good debate)
and my point was mostly about awareness :) which has been received very
well.

It's only one issue among many for accessibility but an interesting one all
the same. Any direction (links) to sites where there is feedback from
people with visual impairments re use of different software and browsing on
computers would be most appreciated. Or for that matter, feedback from
people with motor skill/physical challenges, etc.?

As well, I'm looking for for any information or direction to information
that anyone may have at their 'fingertips' :) as to what I can do to help
someone with Parkinson's utilize a computer better. My father's PD is
rapidly progressing - I have slowed down the mouse/cursor, increased font
default size and generally tried to set things up so that he can use his
computer on 'bad days'. As he becomes more and more housebound I want to
ensure that I can keep his horizons broadened (so to speak) and that he can
access his favourite sites (such as his golf ones) and send emails to family
and friends. These have to be inexpensive solutions (sigh) funds are
limited :) It's mostly the shaking of the hands that causes problems - it's
hard to navigate a website when you can't keep the mouse still or for that
matter actually hit the tab button with accuracy. Tiny nav links pose the
greatest difficulty so I've set his resolution at 800x600, but other than
that...................... :)

Thank you Judith for sending the Usability w/s info - I have used that for
links to more research and forwarded the info onto others :)

cheers,

Shelley
