need help with multiple tables

Hi,
Im wanting to create tables, actually three. One on top, then, left and right.

I know I have to make gif graphics, for the colors I want to use, but do I 
have to choose the exact size of the tables, or can I fake it thru HTML, to 
get them to the correct width and height?

Hope I made sense..Tried best to expalin the best I could..
