As Ray Betts said, Outlook express will do it. You would need to set up
multiple identities.

>From what you wrote, it appears you want to download certain messages to one
"identity" while downloading remaining message to a different "identity"?

If so, you an set up "rules" to ignore certain messages for each "identity"
but it will get tricky, depending on the number of different names used in
the "TO:" field. You would have to set up filters for EVERYTHING you DON'T
want in each identity. For instance, if you look through this list, you
will find a number of different verions of "HWG Basics". Here's some of
them:

hwg-basics(at)mail.hwg.org
hwg-basics(at)hwg.org
HWG Basics
Basics List
HWG
HTML Writers Guild / Basics

If this was the one you wanted on one identity, you would have to filter out
everything else for that identity and filter only these out for the other
identity. Then, if someone else calls it "Basic HWG List", it won't get
picked up...

Another, more flexible, more powerful option would be to set up your own
mail server (no need for a separate machine - you can run it on a single
machine and point the email software to a proxy you set up)

With those you would set up two mail accounts and send message addressed to
a specified name to one account, with the remainder (i.e. anything else) to
go to the other address. Then set up different accounts/identities in your
mail program to point to the separate mail boxes.

There's a lot of these programs around - check tucows or winfiles.com.

Hope this gives you some ideas.
