Cache question

I have a question and I don't know where to start for an answer, so I
thought I'd try the wonderfully helpful people on this list.

I have a page that attaches to an Access database.  Users are able to add
values to this table from the page.  My problem is that I don't know how to
get the page to refresh and show the new values after they have been
submitted.  In addition, I also need the table to show up empty when the
page first loads to "prompt" the user to enter items.

Anyone have any suggestions on where I should start?  I can't provide any
examples because the pages are not in production yet.
