Closing extra windows

I'm using this to close an extra browser window -
<input type="button" Value="CLOSE" onclick="self.close()">
Internet explorer always asks if I'm sure I want to close the window and I
have to click on OK, is there any way to avoid this extra click and have the
window close right away?
