A seperate cell within a table can often help you position content, not just
pictures, within a web page. By sizing the cell that the image resides in,
or by sizing the other data cells in that row and leaving the current one
alone, you can often position content more exactly. Additionally, you can
add spacing around the image by using the "hspace" and "vspace" attributes
and align the image to the left, right, top, and bottom of the cell by using
the "align" and "valign" attributes.

Using the "colspan" or "rowspan" within the data cell can additionally
enhance the presentation of your content once in a while.
