There are "always" problems. No matter what you place on a page, there is
always some browser/OS system somewhere that will not support it.

The example you mentioned--a superscript , (R) sign--will work just fine in
a Windows/Internet Explorer environment. Will it work on all other machines
and/or browsers?? There seems to be some debate. And of course the font is
also a part of this. The font you choose must include this symbol, (most
do), and the viewer's machine must do the same.

If you have FrontPage 2000, just set it to limit code to that acceptable to
BOTH IE and Netscape, then go ahead and enter it. If it takes it, you know
you have over 95% of the "general" web surfers covered.

But even then, you will get some, somewhere who have "something" that will
not display it correctly. Such is life. Will it pass Fuzzy's Validator?? I
kind of doubt it, but then I don't think I've ever tried this particular
element.

Remember, we work with Markup Language and it is not--nor ever will be--all
things to all computers and/or browsers.

Or ... but Hey!! -- As they say on TV ... "You GO girl!!"

Best wishes
