Tanya, I personally don't feel you are wrong in your beliefs concerning the
depth of links that one must go through to obtain what they want or need.
While high-speed service, such as Roadrunner and 56k modems are on the rise,
there still are those many who have the 33.6k and lower in baud rate. Many
pages I've seen that refer to this have either been loaded with code, thus
taking longer to load, or with numerous images, or even a few large ones.
In any of those cases, pages take more time to load, and if there are many
links to go through, I'd believe personally that it'd be a waste of time to
go through just the page/image loading to have to seek another link.

On the other hand, sites could reach a size where the complexity almost
requires anywhere from 4-7 links in depth to find what one needs. Microsoft
is one such site, though I believe there are many others, Microsoft is the
one I spend the primary amount of time on to find needed info for the
products I have. Usually, in most cases, 1-3 links is enough for me to find
what I want or need. My site, which is still under development, will have
from 1-3 links to any articles, files or discussion forums. Simply my
thoughts on the matter.
