No. There are some sites you do need to use the WWW. If the hosting company
only generates 2 address records (i.e. www.domain.extension and
mail.domain.extension), then only the mail address record will work along
with the visitor having to use WWW. when accessing the web site. If a third
address record was generated, like I do with my clients, by leaving out the
WWW, then it would not be necessary to include the WWW.
