I always seem to ask questions on a Friday ;-)

What I'm trying to do...

Short version -pass a parameter to a JS script via the URL. e.g.
http://www.darkstorm.org/pulp/index.htm?menu. In this case I would need the
JS to pick up the "menu" on the end of the URL.

Long version - I basically want to be able to give people different URL's
for my site which point to different pages, but all will go via my main
index page (which starts up various essential frames). So in the above
example, some JS in index.htm would pick up the parameter being passed and
display menu.htm within the main frame (and hence I can pass other pages as
the parameter). Otherwise if I just tell them to go straight to, say,
linktous.htm it will bypass the frames setup.

Anybody have any ideas how I can achieve this (WARNING : I'm relatively new
to JS <grin>)

Thanks in advance,
David.
