Judging ~strictly~ by the messages that cross this list on a daily basis it
is NOT opinion to say that designing for specific browsers is a LOT more
trouble than designing for all browsers (valid HTML).

Jolene, could you please explain your statement?

Fuzzy,
I am trying to state that some of my fellow students create a page in IE,
and it looks fine. When they see that the page doesn't render the same in
Netscape, they don't want to take the trouble to fix it. In that sense, it
takes more effort to design for all browsers. It is easier for some of
them to just write off Netscape than make the effort to learn to do it
right. I'm not stating that I agree with that attitude.
Some of them banter around the phrase "Netscape sucks", when they don't
realize that what they are actually saying is "my coding sucks."
