No surprise there.  Micro$oft does this quite often.  Few of their pre-95'
applications could be installed on a 95' system. Someday I need to throw out
that old Version 1.0 Office package.

Two years from now everything they write will probably not work with 98'
either.  This is the old upgrade treadmill.  Every year to 18 months you
have to upgrade your hardware so it can handle the latest software.  Then
they upgrade the software again.... ad infinitum.  MS figured out how to
make this work for them with applications and operating systems. The only
way off the treadmill is to become a truck driver or bricklayer.
