Shawn:

Yes---CDR is the proprietary file extension for Corel Draw--in the same
manner that CNV would be the proprietary extension for Canvas or AI for
Adobe Illustrator.

Most manuals that come with the major graphics programs have a chapter on
conversions and include a list of graphics extensions. Just such a
list--complete with explanations--starts on page 91 of my Canvas primary
manual. (It comes with four!!) One of your program's manuals must have a
similar section.

However--all that aside--for these graphics extensions and just about
EVERYTHING else, I would suggest WhatIs.Com. http://whatis.techtarget.com/

Their site is not quite as easy to use as it once was. But after you look it
over the first time--and do the proper head scratching--you will see how it
works.

I usually use the Browse Manually feature by clicking on the letter of the
alphabet located just under their green search panel.

But--Wouldn't you just know it?? CDR was NOT listed under the "C" as
expected. (The closest thing they had was CD-R for Compact Disk--Recordable)
I guess no one is perfect.

Best wishes
