The only two choices I know of is a graphic of the scanned printed page, or to copy the format you have in Word into HTML.

Translating a word processor document into HTML is not fun, but it does load faster that a graphic. As far as someone using it, I
don't think it would end up being as good as the original resume, if it printed out correctly from the browser anyway. It might be
possible that you can do a conversion to HTML with Word, but chances are you'd have to go in and correct some things still.

The best sample would be a scanned one, but there's that download factor. To minimize the file size, first try finding the smallest
"acceptable" size (around 600 pixels width seems pretty good for 8 1/2 inch width page, you might go smaller with a larger point
size). Then, since you're probably dealing with just black and white, you can go down to 16 colors and save it as a GIF file. It
still has to download, but it's not a slow one in most cases, especially if you have a lot of white space.

I've found JPG compression is not good with text images, especially if you have a lot of text on the page. I've gotten more
compression and better results with the 16 color GIFs.
