Font limit in Windows?

Hello everybody,
When I try to install new fonts on my Win98 box, it says something like "Font
limit 400 exceeded, you can't install more fonts" or something like that. I know
that when a software is installed on this box, it has no problems installing new
fonts.
Is there a way around this?
PS Sorry for the stupid question :-)
