Midid files

I have a midi file on an opening page and I want it to play until finished
even when another link in the site has been selected.  Also, I want to give
the option for turning off the midi if the viewer so chooses but, I want to
be able to choose where the viewer pops up.  Any ideas? Using HTML code.
