I haven't worked with FP2K yet, but in FP98, the only "successful" way I =
have been able to import a Word page into FP was to cut & paste it in =
(in the first window, not the HTML window)...I lost the formatting half =
the time, but that was easy to fix.

P.S.
This fidget with FP was just one more reason I changed my choice of =
editor for my day-to-day tasks.

IME, any kind of "convert to HTML" job is going to be somewhat garbled. =
I've
had good results using a trial version of HTML Transit
(http://www.infoaccess.com) instead of Word's "convert to HTML" feature. =
You
must use styles in your Word document to get the best results, since it =
lets
you assign HTML tags based on your Word styles. However, I don't know =
what
would happen once you imported the file into FP, since (once again, IME) =
FP
tends to do some garbling of its own. (Note to FP fans, and you know who =
you
are :-)... I'm not saying FP is bad. I'm just saying it alters your code =
when
you import a page. So let's not start another holy war.) And your =
original Word
format may not be able to be maintained anyway... HTML simply doesn't =
give you
that kind of control.
