Lori,

I REALLY feel your pain on this one. I encountered a very similar scenario
with a client of mine that has a webTV in his place of business (a jewelry
shop). I had to pretty much customize his entire site to ensure it
displayed adequately on his webTV (which was outdated to say the least).

The bottom line is that webTV's have a LONG way to go in my opinion to
become something that is a common household item. All of the ones I've seen
thus far have been seriously lacking not only in speed and ease of use, but
in compliance with accepted web standards. My advice would be to try and
convince your client that he can get a REALLY GOOD computer for around $700
or so these days and that it would be well worth it to do so.

Otherwise you are going to continue to run into such issues to the point
that this client is going to run the risk of becoming a liability to you
rather than an asset. I say that, not with malice, but with experience and
looking at it from a strictly business viewpoint (which is often only part
of the whole picture).

Thanks,
Keith D Sellars

If it's not possible for him to sign up using your computer, or that of a
member of his friends or family his public library may have an internet
capable computer that he could use for the few minutes it would take to sign
up.

do this to get the code for every item he sells--which could be 100
paintings. And thus he can't get the code for me to put on the page and
PayPal won't allow me to do this for him. He does go to the libray a lot but
he would have to do that for every item he sells. I'm looking for an easier
solution.
