You've just GOT to be kidding !!

For simple browser compatibility tests, there must be at least a half dozen
or so--including a few downloads for your own hard drive, and not to mention
FrontPage's automatic browser compatibility settings--that allow you to fix
your problem and go have lunch in a fraction of the time it takes to try and
figure out how to USE the w3 validator.

Now don't get me wrong--for those few that have devoted the time to learn
all the requirements, idiosyncrasies and doctype manifestations, and need
something to check all their hand coding typos, table structure, doctype
selection and so on and so forth ... But for simple browser
compatibility--the original question--going to Website Garage for example,
would answer the question, quicker, and with a lot easier to understand
detail. And it's just one of many.
