It sounds as though you might need to update your video drivers.  The same
thing happened to me when I upgraded an old computer from Win 95 to 98.  You
can find out what kind of video card you have in the system properties
(right-click on the "my computer" icon & go to the device manager).  When
you have found out what kind you have...you can go here:
http://www.windrivers.com/company.htm to find a recently updated driver for
your machine...or go directly to the company's web site itself (probably the
first & best place to try).
