Hi Rachel

Firstly, critiques don't belong on the basics list. There is a separate list
for that.

AS to your question about Netscape, Statistics seem to indicate that roughly
10-15% of people still use Netscape, though the numbers are dropping (about
18 months ago, it was 50/50).  Some people never use Internet Explorer,
either because they don't like Microsoft or because they are running an
operating system that does not have a version of Internet Explorer.  Of
course, if you write in valid (X)HTML and are careful with any CSS you use,
you should not need to test in Netscape as all should (in theory) be well.

I use Internet Explorer (5.5) whenever I surf the web, but given the
statistics, still test sites in Netscape 4.77 and Opera 5, just to be sure.
I'm not worried about Netscape 3 and Internet Explorer 3 since very few
people still use them.  Others may have a different opinion on that.
