Loop a .wav in html

I want a way to loop short 3 second files to
viewers of my site.  I use an old version of
CoolEdit for looping white static noise on my
computer while I work. I want to find a player
that can quickly be downloaded and used while a
viewer is at my page, but also so they can play
the loops while on my page. Is there any known
ways? My (limited) knowledge makes me think that
there is probably some Java scripted player for
the web page, and another universal player for
downloading to the individual computers. How far
off am I?
