Basics list doesn't allow attachments, so you won't get any posts from here
with attachments.

I hope this is not off topic. I have been receiving more e-mail lately sent
to my web-page address. A lot have .gif , .scr, or .xls attachments, which
trigger the "Open Attachment Warning" message window from Outlook Express.
To date my response is to always delete them, even though unsure whether
they're okay messages actually intended for me (and not spam/harmful mail.

I hope I am not deleting any messages that come from the hwg-basics list
(that mail comes in through my web page address too). Has anyone found a
way to protect against this potentially harmful mail? Any ideas on how to
better handle these messages from unknown people would be much appreciated.
