You need to use a module called DBI

I have a PC running Windows 98 SE with an Apache Server, ActiveState's
Perl distribution, and MySQL up and running. I using this system as a
tool to teach myself some aspects of webdevelopment. I'm very new to
Perl but I can write CGI scripts that can take information from an HTML
form and do simple tasks with it. I would like to use MySQL to store
information between sessions but I'm stumbling on how to use Perl to
communicate with MySQL. I know it can be done but I'm at a loss as to
where to get started. Could someone point me to a web-resource to get
me going?
