Since you are using Matt's FormMail script, do you have it set up so
that you can learn the environmental variables such as the
HTTP_USER_AGENT.

<!input type=hidden name="env_report"
 value="HTTP_USER_AGENT">

Then, when you do get the problems, you an exact idea of what type of
browser they are using. This is usually very important since most people
seem to know that they have Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL or whatever
ever came with the computer but little else.

Another thought: we consistantly had a problem with an organization that
would do a submission of a lot of information into a text box. Every so
often, we found that they input would cut off.

We found that there were several problems:

1) The person did the input by typing the information into a word
processor then cutting and pasting into the textarea. Some of the
"hidden" characters caused a problem.

2) Rebooting Windows sometimes helped. Memory exhaustion after running
Windows for so long leads to problems.

3) Browser version or brand. I don't know that this applies anymore, but
we used to consistantly have problems with textarea and Microsoft's
Internet Explorer. We consistantly did not have problems with Netscape
browser and textarea.

enjoy...
