Resolution Validation

Hello I have a site and would like to formate it upon
load to the consumers resolution on there PC.  I have
created graphic and pages for all of the various
resolutions for windows and need to know how to write
code that would choose the 800x600 jpeg opposed to the
480x640 one.....has anyone had any experience with
this or can provide me with a link were I can look at
the code?
