Does anyone have ideas on how I can add password protection to a whole
directory of files on a website?

I'm working on a site that is hosted on a remote server--www.westhost.com.
When I checked Westhost's info. on cgi scripts -- what is available is
through www.hostedscripts.com. It doesn't really show you the code. You
copy a link to their site and set up emails and passwords and copy your html
page onto their site. And you have to have one of their banner ads placed
on your site.

If anyone has other ideas, I am receptive. Unfortunately, I'm not taking
Into to C until next month. And I don't have a background yet in CGI or
Perl. This means I can only understand simple things. I'm not the kind of
person who reads a book in 20 minutes and then builds a rocket ship in the
afternoon.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Susan V.
