Validators

Hi all,

I created a site using Dreamweaver and recently ran it
through a validator. It gave me a whole bunch of
errors - is this expected because I used the editor to
create the site? Does the editor introduce more
opportunities for errors?
Also, I understand that having a "clean" site is a
good thing, but on the whole, how many sites are out
there that pass the validation test? and how important
is this?
