just a note:
After looking at my site with Lynx (thank god for shell accounts), I
realized that we need alt tags for the "invisible" images, too! In
Lynx, a non-graphical browser, transparent spacer gifs and the images
that make the corners of my content boxes show as
"../images/transparent_1x1.gif" and "../images/corner_ll.gif".  Bleah!
That was easily fixed by giving each the alt tag: alt=""   (and that
was easily done by using Find & Replace)

I'm guessing that this will help with browsers for the blind, as well.
