Ted and Jeff, I think you are both right as rain - and wrong too.

Here is what my Fuzzy mind sees on the horizon . . .

A "freeweb" and a "corporateweb" and a . . .

Think about it his way . . .

Remember when you *first* started playing with computers? It was a while
before you stopped piling everything onto the root of your drive and
started making folders to categorize all that junk so you didn't have to
scroll through 300 files to get to the one you wanted.

The web is at that point right now.

We are just starting to figure out that there is too much junk on the root.
We need to break it into folders . . . "documents", "pictures", "spread
sheets", "porn" . . . you get the idea. Now extend that to the web . . .
"bakers", "Candle stick makers", "porn dealers".

This carries over just fine with what we see from YAHOO. YAHOO (and I
suspect *many* others) will simply become "elite" directories and search
engines. You won't go there when you want to find a widget, you'll go there
when you want to buy a hundred thousand widgets.

You'll go to "Frizzy and Fuzzy's Search Thingy" to find your single widget
(and your really tasteless porn!).

It all makes sense if you lean you head over far enough . . . or maybe
stick it in the Microwave for three minutes on high.

:-)
Fuzzy.

Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?
