In short, no.

This may work for some of the older browsers (NN 1, NN2?) and perhaps some
of the smaller ones, but recent  browsers place files in the SYSTEM folder
as well as in the location they are installed.  The problem arises when
these system files cannot be located.

In the case of IE, the system files have the same name, therefore more than
one version of the same browser is not generally possible.

The only alternative is to package the installation program with the CD if
you are sending it to anyone.
