FWIW, if anyone is able to follow this thread . . or is still following
this thread; I think the whole darned thing Reemphasizes the need for us as
web developers to _____ know ____ our demographics and write accordingly.
Case in point, a little earlier 'someone' wrote:

I can lay my hands on (about) 900 machines representing approximately 2500
users within 20 minutes of here for whom this does NOT work. I can
*reasonably* argue that the "easiest and quickest way" to remove the link
underlines is to change the settings in the web browsers preferences.
See my point?
Know thy audience - know them well - and write for _ them _.
