Where Do I Need Meta Tags?

Hello All!

I'm very new at submitting web sites to search engines, so I have the
following basic questions:

I've put the various meta tags (keywords, description, author, robots,
etc.) in the XHTML of my site's HOME page.  Do I have to place these same
meta tags into each of the other 12 pages that make up my web site?  Do I
submit only the home page to the search engines or all of the pages in my
site?
