meta info - spec. restricting searches

Hello,

I'd like to have a place to find correct and concise meta information.  My 
need right now is to restrict searches (ex. Google) from certain portions 
of a website and, unless my memory is goofy, it can be done with meta 
tags.   TIA :-)
