I don't expect a reply - except for a spanking from the list Mom, but I gotta tell someone about this.

I'm using MSIE 5.X under WIN 98SE (in this case).

I have (and have double checked) the option to "notify me of available updates" *DE*selected.

I started my browser up a few days ago, and lo and behold instead of Google, I got a notice a newer version of MSIE is available from the Evil Bill's Empire. No kidding. I immediately checked my preferences again - it's STILL *de*selected!

~Ever since then~ my browser has been crashing/freezing and generally acting very spastically (way more than usual!).

The implications of this are REALLY ticking me off! Not to mention the fact that I have to restart MSIE three or four times an hour now (usually).

ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That EVIL/NASTY/ROTTEN/DISHONEST S.O.B. !!!!!!!!!

Fuzzy
<Feeling fury he thought/hoped long gone>
