How wrong can you be! You've obviously never visited the USA. In
numerous visits
we've met the occasional grunt but 99.999% of the people we've met
have been friendly and sociable. People like Joe and Marcy Hovas of
Walla Walla (Washington state) who we met in the supermarket line,
who took us to the Sweet Onion Festival. There's nothing like an
English accent for making friends in the USA, 'tho they often think
we're Aussies!

Generally we avoid the biggest cities, but you'll find the worst
manners, and filth, in London.

My partner was in the military (RAF) for 35 years so we've had lots
of opportunities to visit. The only time I ever had a gun pointed at
me was when I accidentally wandered too close to the yellow line at
Patrick AFB.

Go and see.

Freda
