Hosting companies in USA

I have been very pleased with WestHost located in Vancouver WA, USA and have several clients and several of my own web pages located on this site. I chose them because I live in WA and in case I had to call I didn't want a large phone bill. They have 24x7hr tech service via email. However, I should start using another service as you said above re having all your eggs in one basket.

HOWEVER, I have had nothing but trouble with a freebie site one of my clients wanted to use, called FaithSite.com--a christian site no less. Their software is not only a big pain to deal with which means I'll have to recode every page if we ever move it in the future. And worst of all, the "purchased" domain name they sold my client went into their name and not hers, and this is still not resolved after 6 months or more. It has really sworn me off of freebie sites.
