Hi All,

I'm working on the fixed background on a horse site again. Previously some of you helped me set up a DIV to control this pic. But I used to have a pic of a horse faded out with the pic fixed on the screen with a pale gray gif for the background because when I faded the horse it turned the background from white to gray in Photoshop so in order to get it to blend in I made a matching background gif. I was hoping if I didn't have to use the gray gif background then maybe I can arrange this with CSS.

This time I made the background transparent (using fireworks) but then couldn't fade it far enough (if anyone knows how to do this please let me know).

However while this arrangement is doing what I want in IE5 it's not working right in Netscape 4.9---I realize this is buggy but I'm hoping someone will know of a workaround. Right now it's not showing an image at all in Netscape 4.9 but earlier it was stuck in upper left corner so the former is preferable.

Here is the URL

Only the home pg has the current change--inner pages have either the other arrangement or nothing at all on image intensive pages.

PS I'm on the digest.

thanks,
Lori
