Hi Jim,
Have you checked to make sure that your website is still listed on the =
various search engines for which you payed them to list you on? If they =
have removed your site, then that could very well be the cause for the low =
traffic.
By the way, there are many sites that will submit your pages to search =
engines for free (not to mention submitted them through each search engine =
directly), so I'd say you've been had from the moment you said you paid =
$100.
At any rate, I would check the search engines that this company signed you =
up for and see whether or not they are still there... that is the best =
thing I can think of as to why your traffic would drop so drastically.
Hope to help!
Martin

Hi all.
I just noticed that my web page hits have nearly stopped. I wouldn't be
concerned but
before the slowdown I was getting hundreds of hits a day and getting 5+ =
form
emails (from the site)
in my inbox.
Now this is just my opinion but I think what happened is directly related =
to
my cancellation of a subscription to a website listing service which, by =
the
way, had an awful lot of fine print not visible to the naked eye. I
originally agreed to pay them $100 to get my site listed on all the big
search engines. Fine. One month later I get a bill for another $100. There
explanation was, "your site has received a large amount of click through
traffic...we needed another payment to keep the traffic going..." Anyway,
after I got up off the floor and regained my composure, I cancelled the
account and ordered the recent $100 refunded. They agreed. Funny thing is
that since that discussion there has been little or no action on the
website, in particular no-one is filling in any of the various forms on =
the
site.
Has anyone come across this before? Have I been e-blacklisted? Was I being
had?
Thanks and sorry if this is not the right group for this. I will check the
lists and repost if I find a relative list.
Jim
