Being that I design resolution specific content, pixels are a very good =
form of measurement.  Also, Darrell's point is entirely valid; EM =
measurement is dependant not only on the users resolution, but on how each =
browser renders the font used.  An EM in Courier New is going to display =
MUCH different than an EM in Times New Roman.  It's all relative to the =
size of that font's "M" character.

Actually, pixels are very useful on the Web, as long as more flexible =
units
are used where accessibility is an issue.  Unfortunately, there is such a
variance in the way browsers interpret ems, it's hard to use them in a
design without someone complaining!

Why? Points and pixels have their place, but the web is not one of them.
