Patti,

If you are planning on doing any actual webpage design may I strongly
encourage taking some art classes. Many, many webdesigners have excellent
technical skills but lack any real sense of art and design. Thus we get
technically acurate sites with little or no visual impact.

Art and design skills coupled with your other skills will make you a
formidable presence in the webdesign community.
