Hi,

I have long given up being a free lancer and switched to being a full time
student, but while I was a free lancer I used to use a database I created
using MS - Access 97.

If you have Office 97/2000 you already have MS Access, so why spend extra ?
Creating the DB isn't difficult, there is a time tracking wizard built into
Access'97, so I guess it will be there in 2000 also.

All I had to do was run the wizard & then customize the forms to include my
logo, name etc. I also made the form a funky orange color :)

If you know VBA programming, you are open to even more choices.

Plus you can password protect it.

You can also carry the .mdb file which is between 1MB - 2 MB to any PC with
Access and start working immdly, excellent if you are doing some work at a
client's place.

P.S.
I am not a representative of BillGates, but he has promised to include me in
his will if I sent this message! :)

| Hi David,
|
| I have been using and recommending (and hearing rave reviews back) a
program
| called TimeSlice for over 6 months now. Available for Mac or PC with trial
| download and a sweet low price of $40. for full registration. I registered
| it within 24 hours of downloading the trial and I think it had already
paid
| for itself by then.

|
| Hi All-
|
| Can anyone recommend a program for keeping track of the time one spends
| developing/maintaining different web sites for different clients during
| the day?
|
| I find myself switching between different projects, depending on which
| fire is burning the brightest. I need a better way of keeping track of
| the time I spend on each project. The stubby pencil on a pad of yellow
| paper is getting much too cumbersome and I am looking for something a
| bit more streamlined.
|
| Any advice?
|
| Thanks in advance.
