The designer doesn't have to be concerned one bit beyond the CYA level.  I
believe the original issue concerned legal issues, but the question had been
raised of what it would take to turn down a job on moral or ethical grounds.
Personally, I'd rather sell sex than tobacco but that may just be silly old
asthmatic me with two parents dead from illnesses directly related to
smoking.  YMMV
