[QUOTED FROM ORIGINAL MESSAGE]

You convinced me not to do it. I gotta stick with only what is honest and
just on my site. How could I ever live with myself for years down the road
by doing such a dishonest thing.

Justice prevails!

Thomas,

Why the hell did you even bother to request everyone's OPINIONS for? You got
about 10 replies to your plan via the list alone (and apparently, based on
the second post from you, a few off-list as well), and yet I can't recall
reading ONE GOOD REASON to do what you propose. All of these replies were
offered in good faith under the spirit of the original question YOU asked.
What do you do? You turn around and give a smarmy reply such as the one
above!

I agree with Capt Ron's assessment: I don't believe it, both the message, as
well as the fact you actually sent this. You ask a question, then get
belligerent when NO ONE thinks it's a good idea! You come across as a jerk,
whether your comment was intended that way or not. The comment quoted above
smacks of "I don't care what you say; I'm gonna do it anyway because I WANT
to."

You wanna know a little secret Tommy? WE REALLY DON'T CARE. We all have much
better things to do in our own lives than to worry about whether or not
you're a LIAR. It's not OUR website that will fail as a result of your
obviously questionable business practices once everyone finds out about it
(and they WILL find out, Tommy, they ALWAYS do). If you want to go on and
PRETEND to be something you're not, as harmless as it may seem now, for
God's sake, DO IT! If it's that important to you to gain potential customers
through DECEIT, GO FOR IT! DON'T LET US STOP YOU, since obviously, we can't
if you're that set on screwing yourself. But don't go asking for OPINIONS if
you're going to act like a child if you don't hear what you want to hear.

Me personally, I agree with the rest of the list members. I think it's a bad
idea. But you go and do what YOU feel is right. Just don't bother to come
whining to the list when someone unveils your scheme.
