Hi group,

I need help! I have a client who wants a questionnaire/survey set up. It is
pretty in-depth, about 165 questions. They want the responses to go to a
database, and they want the site to be password protected. (They currently
don't even have a Web site, everything will be new.) I will definitely be
hiring a subcontractor for the ASP/database portion, as that's beyond my
expertise, but my immediate problem is bidding the job. They urgently need a
bid by Monday and I am at a loss! I need to quote several things, such as:
-development (obviously)
-script development??? (is this needed to process the responses?)
-monthly hosting fee (for a password protected site that allows
ASP/databases)
-software that they will need on their end to gather and analyze the
respones (such as Access?)

Since we can't discuss pricing on the list, if anyone can give me any advice
on bidding this job off-line (maybe give me a ballpark of what you might
charge for a site like this), I would really, truly appreciate it. And if
you have the know-how to do a job like this, I would also be interested in
talking to you, as I'm going to need to hire someone.

Thanks very much for any and all suggestions,
Kelly Williamson
