Developing a Web Biz

Hi All.

I really enjoyed the "state of the web developing biz" thread.  It was
interesting to see the similarity in thought and get some confirmation of
our own ideas as well.

But, okay so say you have been in business slightly more than 2 years, your
profitable, your stable (as stable as a small business can be) and you have
survived the dot bomb, the overall economic downturn and the economic impact
of September 11 in the Washington DC area.  Now what?

How does a company take that next step and get from a three-person firm to a
5 or 6 person firm?   We really want to grow our company but also want to
avoid common pitfalls and do so intelligently.  Any experiences, advice or
just plain old opinions are welcome.    What do people think is the most
critical key to success?
