Robert,
Have you tried contacting Adobe directly? I know that they take a very
active part in assisting people in things like this. Try looking up a
contact email address on their website (http://adobe.com/acrobat)

I suggest this because I know for a fact that MS Word is able to save
directly to a PDF with a special macro that was developed by Adobe. And, I
know of a utility called PDF Writer, which acts as a printer. So when you
print to the "PDFwriter" your really exporting a PDF file.

Holler if you can't find the contact information you're looking for. I'll
see what I can drum up within my circle.

Email me off-list if you can help, or on-list if you know someone

who can. Many thanks!
